Preschool
Wesley Academy Preschool is licensed by the Department of Family and Protective Services. It provides children (6 months old through Pre-Kindergarten) with theme-oriented learning in a Christian environment. Class sizes are small to provide individualized care as needed in the classroom.
Direct instruction, centers, and independent learning are all part of the academic focus of Wesley Academy Preschool. Learning is often theme-based and planned based on the developmental level appropriate for the age group.
Math, reading, writing, science, and social studies are taught throughout the school year. Pre-Kindergarten children even participate in field trips to enhance learning.
Children learn Bible stories, sing Christian songs, and pray before meals and snacks. Biblical principles are modeled overtly and through teachable moments that naturally arise in the classroom. Children begin to attend an age-appropriate weekly Chapel at Age 2.
