Elementary
The Elementary School curriculum provides students with a solid educational foundation. Teachers plan their instructional goals and objectives based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and the Stanford objectives. Natural assessment, formal tests, and the annual Stanford test assist teachers as they individualize instruction to meet the needs of each student.
Reading, writing, math, science, and social students are all part of the Elementary curriculum. Often taught through themes, the students are able to incorporate new learning into everyday life. Regular field trips provide exploratory and culminating experiences for learning to take place.
The academic curriculum is balanced with special classes including Music, Art, Spanish, Technology and Physical Education.
Alongside academic instruction, students learn and practice biblical principles through Chapel, classroom devotions, prayer, and Scripture memory. Biblical principles are reiterated through teachable moments that arise both within the classroom and through social interactions.
